The packaging feels luxe with the frosted glass bottle and easy to use pump. The product is dispensed as a liquid, serum-like consistency. There is a faint floral smell from the flower extract. Two pumps are able to saturate a cotton ball and cover my entire face. It feels silky and smooth going on and a little goes a long way. It dries tacky with a slightly sticky feel. The tackiness is quickly gone after applying a moisturizer and skin is left feeling smooth. I experienced the slightest tingle on my face. It felt much more intense on neck, but felt calming on the the chest. I did not experience any redness initially nor the next day.

The next morning my skin felt brighter and had a subtle glow. The most noticeable difference was how soft my skin felt. I didn’t have any peeling or flaking. The more and more I use this, I’m noticing an overall change in brightness, hydration, and even smaller pores. I haven’t seen any dramatic line improvement or melasma lightening, but I’m wondering if that has to do with the higher pH.

The most exciting change was how glowy and smooth my skin felt the the following day. I was hoping for more tone improvement with lightened dark spots, but the overwhelming softness I felt made up for it. I was thrilled to wake up with zero redness or irritation.

While I didn’t experience any noticeable irritation, I still wish this product was fragrance free. Products with fragrance, natural or not, can potentially aggravate the skin. The fragrance is light and floral-not at all overpowering.

If you’re looking for a gentle exfoliant, Liquid Exfolikate really does a great job smoothing and brightening the skin. If you’re brand new to chemical exfoliants, this serum is a great option. Don’t expect to see that dramatic cell turnover that say a retinoid or in office chemical peel gives, but this serum gives promising results over time.

If you love waking up with a fresh youthful glow, Liquid Exfolikate will be your BFF!
